Cape Faraday is a cape that forms the northern tip of Powell Island in the Archipelago of the South Orkney Islands .
The British sealer captain George Powell and his American counterpart Nathaniel Palmer discovered the cape during their exploration of the South Orkney Islands in December 1821. The name of the cape is on the map published by Powell in 1822. The namesake is not known.
