The Cape Huinga a monstrous chapter in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . On the Shackleton Coast , it lies on the northern flank of the mouth of the Robb Glacier and the Ross Ice Shelf .
The southern group of a campaign carried out from 1959 to 1960 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition used the Cape in November 1959 as a meeting and gathering place. The name is borrowed from a Māori term for such a place.
