Cape McCormick is a cape on the Ross Sea coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It marks the eastern end of the Adare Peninsula .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered the cape in January 1841 during his Antarctic expedition (1839–1843). He named it after Robert McCormick (1800–1890), a surgeon on the research ship HMS Erebus on this voyage.
