The chapel of St. Apostles Peter and Paul in the Mirogoj Cemetery ( Serbian : Капела светих апостола Петра и Павла на Мирогоју, Kapela svetih apostola, also called a Serbian Peter i Pavla na Mirogoju chapel, abbreviated to Paul and Peter Orthodox cemetery chapel in the Croatian capital Zagreb .

The church is dedicated to the holy apostles Peter and Paul . The chapel belongs to the Metropolitan Region of Zagreb and Ljubljana of the Serbian Orthodox Church, based in Zagreb.

The Peter and Paul Chapel is located in the north of Zagreb on the site of the Mirogoj cemetery .

history

The chapel was built in 1891. The ktitorin (donor) of the house of God was the noble widow Judita Kukulj , who had the chapel built over her husband's grave. The architect of the chapel was the Cologne- born architect Hermann Bollé , who is considered one of the most important architects in Croatia.

The cross- domed chapel is built in the Neo-Byzantine style and has the plan of a Greek cross .
