The broad chapel pillar is a broad chapel pillar that is integrated into the facade of the house at Amtsstrasse 15 in the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf .

The object was erected in 1882. The figure dates from the 20th century.

description

The broad pillar is integrated into the facade, in the row of houses. It consists of plastered masonry. It has a large segmental arch niche with an inscription panel. In the gable of the triangular gable is a small arched niche with a newer wooden figure of St. Christopher .

The following can be read on the inscription panel in the segmental arch niche: GROSSJEDLERSDORF. 1108 JEDLERSDORF - ORIGINALLY URLIUGESTORF - WAS MENTIONED IN HISTORY FOR THE FIRST TIME. UP TO 1894, JEDLERSDORF WAS INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY AND WAS INTEGRATED IN THIS YEAR INTO THE LARGE COMMUNITY FLORIDSDORF. In 1904 FLORIDSDORF WAS APPOINTED 21st DISTRICT OF VIENNA.
OFFICIAL STREET. CENTER OF THE JEDLERSDORFER CORE. IN OLD TIMES, ALL OFFICIAL ACTIONS WERE HELD HERE. THE “KARL BORROMÄUS KIRCHE”, KNOWN AS THE PILGRIMAGE CHURCH “KLEIN-MARIA-TAFERL”, WAS BUILT IN 1714 AS A WOODEN CHAPEL AND IN 1782 EXTENDED TO TODAY'S SIZE. THE WONDERFUL PICTURE OF THE MARY IS STILL IN OUR CHURCH.
