The Dinkelsbühl Capuchin Monastery is a former Capuchin monastery in Dinkelsbühl in Bavaria in the Diocese of Augsburg .

history

The monastery was founded in 1622 by Eva Maria von Lerchenfeld and was built near the city wall on the Russelberg. The simple church of St. Francis was consecrated in 1628, and a cross chapel was added in 1729. In 1803 the monastery was dissolved in the course of secularization . The monastery church has been used as a pilgrimage church since 1959.
