Mike Bannister (* 1949 ) is a British pilot of modern line machines.

After training to become a pilot made possible by a scholarship , Bannister went to BOAC , the forerunner of British Airways, in 1969 . In 1977 he became the youngest Concorde pilot . Since 1995 he was chief pilot of Concorde, which led to his frequent interviews in connection with the only passenger supersonic aircraft. He is therefore also known to the British public as Mr. Concorde . He was also the captain of the Concorde's last scheduled flight from New York to London on October 24, 2003, as well as the pilot in charge of the very last Concorde flight ever, which took place on November 26, 2003 when the Concorde with the registration number G-BOAF was flown from London to Filton to the museum.

After the Concorde was decommissioned, Mike Bannister holds the unassailable record for the most flight hours on the Concorde.
