Karatheodori

The Karatheodori family (further spellings of the name: Karatheodori, Caratheodory, Carathéodori) has a long diplomatic tradition and various family members held important government posts in Constantinople. She belongs to the so-called Phanariotes , the Greek upper class of the Ottoman Empire. The family originally comes from the village of Vosnochori (Βοσνοχώρι) today Nea Vyssa (Νέα Βύσσα) near Orestiada .
