Kardiotissa ( Greek Καρδιώτισσα ( f. Sg. )) Is a Greek island between Folegandros and Sikinos. The uninhabited Cycladic island is located about 2.7 km from the southwest tip of Sikinos , to which it also belongs administratively.

The French explorer Joseph Pitton de Tournefort described it in 1700 as a lonely deserted island with a small church. He suspected that it was the island of Lagousa (Λάγουσα) mentioned by Strabo .

The Dutch Pasch van Krienen reported in 1771 that only one shepherd lived with his flock on the island called Kardia . At the northern tip he mentioned a ruined tower.

In 1888 Alkiviadis Charilaou mentioned the church Theotokou Kardiotissis (Θεοτόκου Καρδιωτίσσης), from which the island probably got its name.

The island is of 74.43 km² large part of Natura 2000 -area to Sikinos Folegandros West East (Φολέγανδρος ανατολική μέχρι δυτική Σίκινο) GR 4220004 and at the same time as part of the 190 square kilometers of Important Bird Areas GR 157 Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros Iceland Group classified .
