Karkaar Mountains

The Karkaar or Karkar Mountains are a chain of rugged mountains in northeast Somalia , stretching from west to east through the Bari region .

In the administrative structure of Puntland, which has been declared unilaterally autonomous, Karkaar is the name of a separate region separated from Bari, which includes the part of Bari south of the Karkaar Mountains.
