Karl-Dieter Oestmann (born February 28, 1934 in Celle ) is a Lower Saxony politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Oestmann attended the Verden / Aller high school until 1949 and then began training as a practical farmer. In 1960 he became a self-employed farmer. From 1954 to 1969 he was a volunteer in youth association work.

Oestmann became a member of the CDU in 1962. He became chairman of the CDU district association Soltau-Fallingbostel and the district association Lüneburg. He was also a member of the supervisory board of the Lower Saxony regional company in Hanover and a member of the advisory board of HASTRA Hanover. Oestmann was a member of the board of the liaison office for agriculture and business in Hanover and chairman of the administrative board of the Kreissparkasse Fallingbostel in Walsrode.

In 1961 Oestmann was councilor and in 1991 mayor of the city of Rethem , in 1964 a member of the district council of the Fallingbostel district, district administrator there, from 1978 the Soltau-Fallingbostel district and chairman of the parliamentary group. 1974 Councilor of the Rethem municipality and its mayor. Oestmann was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the seventh to eleventh electoral period from June 21, 1970 to June 20, 1990 and the 13th and 14th period from 1994 to 2003. He was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from April 29, 1982 to 20. June 1990 and also Chairman of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry from February 27, 1976 to June 20, 1990.
