Karl-Heinz Dingler (* 1944 in Wangen im Allgäu ) is a German author, publisher and composer. In 1988 he founded the music publisher Edition AMPLE and published CDs with a focus on NATUR-UMWELT-TIER.

Career

Growing up in the Allgäu, he spent many hours of his childhood in a mountain hut and roamed through nature. At the age of 6 he started to learn classical accordion and was fascinated by performing together with his music teacher Robert Ott. As a teenager he was accepted into Hansi Hanf's dance band at an early age, where he accompanied Gitte and Rex Gildo on the piano, among other things. At the same time, he and his childhood friend Gottfried Nun were enthusiastic about the game of chess, where he then played as city champion in the national league and even won a Lake Constance tournament against the then Swiss chess master. In addition to many sports, his passion was a racing bike, with which he “raced” through Upper Swabia and preferred to ride on mountain routes in the Allgäu.

The school development was relatively easy for him and after attending a full trade school, he learned the profession of industrial clerk, where he was finally one of the prize winners and was accepted into the Baden-Württemberg Association for the Promotion of Talented Students. He then served in the regimental staff in the mountain artillery.

This was followed by training as an IT businessman and entering professional life with programming various languages, organization of operational processes and training for the next generation of IT staff. His inclination towards independence and his ambitions as a composer ultimately led to the foundation of the music publisher Edition AMPLE in Germering near Munich. Today AMPLE-Verlag is managed by his granddaughter Melanie Dingler as managing director.

At the same time he founded various bands with performances, including at the Bayerischer Hof in Munich. This then culminated in a tour in California with his band "Les Papillons", together with his son Markus.

As the main author for his own publishing house, he developed media that are unique in Europe today, such as "The bird songs of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East", "The voices of mammals - focus on Europe" and "Bird songs in flight". He also worked with other authors, including the animal filmmaker Andreas Schulze , Christian Fackelmann, Karl-Heinz Frommolt and Hans-Heiner Bergmann.
