Karl-Heinz Mühe (born January 13, 1949 in Schöppenstedt ) is a German politician (SPD). From 1986 to 2003 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Saxony and is mayor of the small town of Schöppenstedt.

Life

Mühe attended elementary school and then completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter at the Deutsche Bundesbahn. He then worked for the Federal Border Police and obtained the secondary school leaving certificate and the Abitur via the second educational path. He then studied to be a teacher at the University of Education in Braunschweig and then worked as a teacher at the elementary school in Salzgitter-Watenstedt from 1979 until his election to the state parliament in 1986.

When he was ten years old, Mühe began to actively work with the falcons . In 1967 he joined the SPD and was temporarily a member of the board of the SPD local association Schöppenstedt and chairman of the SPD sub-district Wolfenbüttel. He has been a councilor since 1972 and mayor of his hometown since 1991. From 1981 to 1986 he was a member of the district council of Wolfenbüttel . In the 11th electoral term, Mühe was elected to the Lower Saxony state parliament in 1986 , to which he belonged until the end of the 14th term in 2003.
