Gunnar Dietrich (born March 3, 1986 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German handball player . He plays for the Eulen Ludwigshafen in the handball Bundesliga in the left back space .

Dietrich began playing handball as a youth at SKV Rutesheim . Then he moved to SG Leonberg / Eltingen . From the C-youth he played for TV Kornwestheim. He came to SVK Salamander Stuttgart and HBR Ludwigsburg through club mergers .

When SVK Salamander Stuttgart's Spielbetriebs-GmbH had to file for bankruptcy in 2007, Dietrich moved to the first division club TUSEM Essen . In 2008 the contract with TUSEM Essen was terminated by mutual agreement and Dietrich switched to the then second division TSG Friesenheim , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2010. From 2011 to 2013 Dietrich played at TBV Lemgo . For the 2013/14 season he returned to TSG Friesenheim, with whom he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 2013/14 . After only one season in the Bundesliga, he went into the second division with Friesenheim. In 2017 he rose again to the Bundesliga.

Gunnar Dietrich was a junior national player and became European champion in Austria in 2006 with this team. In 2007 he was runner- up at the World Championships in Ohrid ( Macedonia ).

Dietrich is an industrial mechanic by profession.
