Dominik Mappes (born December 25, 1994 ) is a German handball player . The right-hander plays in the handball Bundesliga at TSG Friesenheim on the back center .

Dominik Mappes was active from the "Minis" for TV 05/07 Hüttenberg. He went through all youth teams and played for two years with the A-youth of the blue-reds in the youth handball league .

In 2013, the Hüttenberger home-grown group moved up to the men's teams of the TVH and initially collected match practice in the top division team. During the championship fight in the 3rd division and the successful run through the second Bundesliga, the talented playmaker matured more and more to become the leading player in his team. After promotion to the 1st handball league, Mappes built on the strength of the previous season and was also elected to the 2018 All-Star Team for his performance in the middle backcourt.

In January, the playmaker announced his move to the 2018/19 season. He has been playing for HC Erlangen in the Bundesliga since summer 2018 . A year later he switched to the Eulen Ludwigshafen .
