Christian Klimek (born January 8, 1990 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German handball player who has been playing for the German Bundesliga club TSG Friesenheim since summer 2020 .

Career

Christian started playing handball at an early age at TV Edigheim in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. He then played as a teenager at HSC Frankenthal, HSG Eckbachtal and HSG Worms. From 2008 he was an adult at TSG Ludwigshafen-Friesenheim (short owls ). After a year in the A-youth , with which he took 3rd place in the German championship , he played first in the second team in the German handball league, then in the second handball league . After the owls were promoted to the upper house in 2010, Klimek already gained experience in the 1st handball league .

In the summer of 2014, Klimek moved to the TuS N-Lübbecke , a handball club of the 1st handball league, as the successor to Mattias Gustafsson . He plays as a right-hander in the position of the circle with the number 69 on his back . From the 2016/17 season he was under contract with TBV Lemgo . In summer 2020 he returned to TSG Friesenheim.
