Karl-Heinz Rothin

Karl-Heinz Rothin (born March 10, 1927 in Gera ; † August 8, 2016 ) was a German actor .

Career

Rothin was the only child in a working-class family. Until 1948 he was trained as a dancer and actor at the stages of the city of Gera and played theater there until 1957. Then he got an offer to Potsdam, where he played at the theater and appeared in DEFA films. In 1960 Rothin starred in the fairy tale film adaptation The Magic Man and appeared in the 1963 film The Bald Gang on. In 1965 he played the border guards in The Mother and the Silence , which was also his last role.
