Karl Bonstedt

Karl Hugo Bonstedt (born November 17, 1844 in Bromberg ; † October 25, 1888 in Iserlohn ) was Mayor of Iserlohn.

Life stations

Bonstedt began studying law at the Friedrich Wilhelm University in Berlin in the winter semester of 1865 . There he became a member of the Normannia country team . In the winter semester of 1867 he moved to the University of Heidelberg . In the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 he was awarded the EK II . In 1872 Bonstedt passed the assessor examination and in December of the same year became a court assessor in Elberfeld . Later appointed First Alderman of Elberfeld, he was elected Mayor of Iserlohn in 1877.

Appreciations

In Iserlohn, a grave monument was erected for him due to his services to the public infrastructure and a street was named after him.
