Karl Braun (politician, 1897)

Karl Braun (born July 29, 1897 in Großingersheim ; † September 30, 1983 in Bietigheim-Bissingen ) was a German SPD politician .

Braun was Mayor of Großingersheim from September 24, 1945 to September 1, 1964. The main task of his tenure was to rebuild the community, which was badly damaged in the war.

Braun was a member of the state constituent assembly from 1952 to 1953 and then, until his resignation on January 26, 1967, of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In the year he left the state parliament, he received the honorary citizenship of Großingersheim and the Federal Cross of Merit . Karl-Braun-Strasse in Ingersheim is named after him.
