Karl Heinz Daeves (born April 24, 1893 in Cologne ; † May 2, 1963 ) was a German metallurgical expert .

Life

Daeves studied metallurgy at the TH Aachen and in Breslau, where he received his doctorate in 1920.

After brief industrial activity , he became a clerk in the Association of German Ironworkers in Düsseldorf in 1921 , where he developed the research concept for large-scale research for quality monitoring and material development based on statistical methods and probability calculations .

In 1924 he became head of the research department at Coal and Iron Research GmbH in Dortmund.

"Daeves expanded the field of application of large-number research to include use value analysis, weak point research and assessment of certain technical and economic probabilities."

After 1945 he worked as a technical scientist at Handelsblatt as a mediator between technical and economic processes.
