Life
From 1975 Karl Hub took part in several expeditions in the Himalayas and Karakoram , including important first ascents.
Alpinistic services (extract)
- Gasherbrum I 8080 m (Karakorum, Pakistan), expedition led by Hanns Schell in 1975, Karl Hub reaches camp III on the Gasherbrum ascent route, H. Schell, Robert Schauer and Herbert Zefferer reach the summit
- Urdok Kangri I 7250 m (Karakorum, Pakistan), first ascent 1975 with Hanns and Lieselotte Schell , Robert Schauer , Helmut Prevedel and Herbert Zefferer
- Kun 7077 m (Himalaya, India), 1977 attempt of a massive traverse from the Kun to the Nun summit; only the Kun summit is reached by Karl Hub, Robert Schauer, Gerhard Pressel , Hanns and Lieselotte Schell
- Gasherbrum II 8034 m (Karakorum, Pakistan), ascent 1979 with Hilmar Sturm and Reinhard Karl
- Broad Peak 8051 m (Karakoram, Pakistan), ascent in 1984 as part of an expedition led by H. Schell, only K. Hub reached the summit
