Karl Krollmann

Karl Krollmann ( 1912 - after 1954) was a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

After Krollmann learned the job of a lathe operator, his voice was trained. In 1935 he made his debut at the Augsburg Theater as "Riccardo" in a masked ball . He stayed there until 1943, before the director of the Berlin State Opera, Heinz Tietjen , hired him for the same year . From 1942 to 1944 he took part in the Bayreuth Festival . However, his career was largely prevented by the Second World War; after the end of the war he was engaged again at the Augsburg Theater. From 1952 to 1954 he was a guest at the Maggio musicale in Florence.
