Karl Seiringer

Karl Seiringer (born December 10, 1897 in Gaspoltshofen , † March 4, 1963 in Wels ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. From 1955 to 1962 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After primary school, Seiringer attended the agricultural winter school in Schlierbach and from 1931 worked as a farmer. In 1922 he became a member of the Gaspoltshofen community committee and between 1931 and 1938 was chairman of the Gaspoltshofen farmers' union. From 1932 he was a board member of the Raiffeisenkasse Gaspoltshofen and from 1936 to 1938 district chairman of the Haag am Hausruck farmers' union . After the Second World War he was again chairman of the farmers 'union in Gaspoltshofen from 1945 to 1949 and district chairman of the farmers' union from 1945 to 1960. In 1945 he became chairman of the Raiffeisenkasse Gaspoltshofen and in 1953 chairman of the Brown Swiss Breeding Association. In 1955 he moved to the supervisory board of the Raiffeisenzentralkasse for Upper Austria and in 1955 became a member of the board of directors of the Upper Austrian farmers' union. He represented the ÖVP in the National Council from December 22, 1955 to December 14, 1962 and was mayor of Gaspoltshofen from 1945 to October 1949, after having served as deputy mayor from 1932.
