Karl Thudichum

Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Thudichum (born July 3, 1833 in Büdingen , † February 22, 1914 in Geneva ) was a German educator and owner of the Thudichum institution (formerly Roediger) called La Châtelaine zu Geneva.

Life

Thudichum was the son of the Sophocles translator and grammar school director Georg Thudichum of the Wolfgang Ernst grammar school in Büdingen. His brother Ludwig Thudichum founded neurochemistry , another brother Friedrich von Thudichum was Professor of Law in Tübingen. He was brother-in-law of the historian Ferdinand Lotheissen .

Thudichum married on November 1, 1858 Antonie Roediger (1838–1916), daughter of the boarding school director Achilles Roediger . Thudichum was the owner of the La Châtelaine international boarding school for boys in Geneva, which he took over from his father-in-law Achilles Roediger.
