Karlsen skirt

The Karlsen skirt is below the sea level befindlicher Rifffelsen in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located 16 km north-northwest of Penguin Point on Coronation Island .

The Norwegian whaling captain Petter Sørlle mapped and named him when he sailed for the waters around the South Orkney Islands between 1912 and 1913. It is probably named after Axel Karlsen, a Norwegian harpooner .
