Karrberg
The Karrberg is a mountain on the northern edge of the Harz in the area of the city of Ilsenburg .
North of the 304 meter high mountain lies Drübeck , east Darlingerode and south Oehrenfeld . On the top of the mountain there is a small group of trees with a bench. From here it is possible to see the Brocken to the south . A hiking trail leads along the north side of the mountain from Darlingerode to Drübeck.
Around the Karrberg you will find numerous valleys (Ilsetal, Steinerne Renne), monasteries (Himmelpforten, Drübeck, Ilsenburg), churches, a castle (Hasserode), a castle (Ilsenburg), a brewery and a disused mine (Thumkuhlental).
