Karsta Lowe (born February 2, 1993 in San Diego , California ) is an American volleyball player . She won the Olympic bronze medal in 2016.

Career

Lowe began her career in 2011 at the University of California, Berkeley . The diagonal player was part of the US national team from 2015 to 2016 . In 2015 she won the Pan American Cup, the NORCECA Championship and the World Grand Prix and in 2016 the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . After a two-year break, Lowe has been back in the national team since mid-2018, with which she reached fifth place at the World Cup in Japan and won the Pan American Cup a year later.

Since 2015 Lowe has also been active in various foreign clubs. She played in Puerto Rico with Changas de Naranjito, in Italy with Yamamay Busto Arsizio and in China with Beijing BAW. After a break, she has been back in Italy since 2019, first with Imoco Volley Conegliano (2019 Italian champion) and then again with Yamamay Busto Arsizio.

Lowe has been named "Most Valuable Player ( MVP )" and "Best Diagonal Player" several times .
