Karsten Laudien

Karsten Laudien (* 1960 in Berlin ) is a German ethicist .

Life

Laudien studied theology and philosophy in Berlin and Paris from 1984 to 1991 . In 1997 he received his doctorate in Berlin on the basis of a dissertation on the doctrine of God with René Descartes . Laudien has held the chair for ethics at the Evangelical University of Berlin since 2004 . Since 2009 Laudien has carried out numerous social science research in the field of child and youth welfare . One focus of laudia is home education and related areas such as guardianship and child protection. In 2013, Laudien and Anke Dreier-Horning founded the DIH - German Institute for Research on Home Education, a non-profit company. Laudien is a board member of the Federal Association of Guardianship Day and a member of the Federal Guardianship Forum.
