The Kazakh Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting ( Kazakh Қазақстан Менеджмент, Экономика және Болжау Институты , Russian Казахстанский Институт Менеджмента, Экономики и Прогнозирования , English Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research (KIMEP) ) is a university in the Kazakh city of Almaty .

The institute was founded on January 14, 1992 by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev . Teaching began in August of the same year. In June 1994 the first graduation of students in the business administration course took place .

All training at KIMEP takes place in English.
