Kasernenstrasse 61
The office building at Kasernenstrasse 61 in Düsseldorf was built between 1928 and 1930 based on designs by Ernst Schoeffler , Carlo Schloenbach and Carl Jacobi as an extension of the general local health insurance fund . The building complex, consisting of a five-storey and a seven-storey building, "is considered an outstanding example of the new building in Düsseldorf". The building avoids monotony, "the facade is characterized by balanced contrasts between ashlar and brick, horizontal and vertical structural elements as well as closed and windowed areas". The building shows different window shapes and storey heights and projections and recesses in the facade. On the first floor of the facade there is a sculpture by the Düsseldorf sculptor Leopold Fleischhacker .
The building is a listed building .
