The kaso , also called kasok or kasoq , is a sword from Sumatra .
description

Typical stilt house on Sumatra, reference to the use of the kaso
The Kaso has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade becomes narrower from the handle to the location and runs in a wedge shape to the location. It has a strong central ridge and is reminiscent of a European rapier . The handle is round and thicker towards the pommel. The pommel is spherical. A metal clamp is attached to the transition between the handle and the blade , which is used for better fastening. The kaso was used to carry out acts of revenge against enemies, in that the bearer of the sword went under a house and stabbed his opponent through the floor of the house. The kaso is used by ethnic groups from Sumatra.
