Kasper Skårhøj (* 1975 in Denmark ) is the inventor and former lead developer of the open source - content management system TYPO3 .

After abandoning his engineering studies, he worked as a freelance web designer and began developing TYPO3 for his customers in 1997 . Skårhøj justifies the decision to publish TYPO3 as open source software, in addition to economic reasons, primarily with his Christian faith. Skårhøj is married and has two daughters. He lives in Copenhagen.
