The TTC Kassel is a former table tennis club whose women's team played in the Bundesliga in the 1990s .

history

The starting point was the CT Hessen-Prussia association founded in 1936 , which was merged into the KSV Hessen Kassel association in 1946 . When Hessen Kassel filed for bankruptcy in 1993 , the table tennis department at that time founded the independent association TTC Kassel .

At the end of the 1993/94 season, the women's team was promoted to the First Bundesliga straight away . Among the coaches Rolf Gebhardt and Ola Einarson, the active participants Katharina Tauschkanova (RUS), Tanja Fleischhauer, Katja Röhre, Margret Söthe and Katrin Meyerhöfer were involved . After a year, the team had to relegate again. In 1996 the ascent took place again. However, this time the relegation did not succeed.

In 1997 the TTC Kassel dissolved. The successor club Kasseler SV Auedamm entered the second division. In 2000, this withdrew the women's team from the second division.
