The Kasselsche Allgemeine Zeitung was founded on November 1st, 1813 as the Allgemeine Kasselsche Zeitung in Kassel . The newspaper served as the official bulletin and was the only official political daily newspaper of the Hessian residence. It was founded during the final phase of the Kingdom of Westphalia and shortly before the reestablishment of the Electorate of Hesse. The editor was Jacob Pinhas . At first the Kasselsche Allgemeine Zeitung appeared daily, then four times a week, later again daily except on Sundays. After the revolution of 1848/49 , the newspaper was finally incorporated into the Neue Hessische Zeitung in July 1850 .
