The Kasthúsatjörn is a pond on the peninsula Álftanes in southwest Iceland .

Because of the rich bird life, the 1.5 hectare pond has been under nature protection since 2002 along with 2.7 hectares of the shore. The adjacent coastal area in the west is also under nature protection with an area of ​​17.6 hectares.
