Katarína Knechtová (born March 14, 1981 in Prešov ) is a Slovak pop singer .

Life

Knechtová worked until 1997 as a singer in the Prešov pop group IMT Smile . She was the lead singer of the pop group PEHA , which in 1999 received the "Discovery of the Year" award from the Slovak Music Academy. In 2001 Knechtová received the Slovak Aurel award in the "Best Singer" category, with which she was honored in 2005 as well. In addition to her work as a singer, she is also active as a composer, lyricist and musician.
