PEHA is a Slovak pop-rock band that was founded in Prešov in 1997 . They are currently one of the most successful pop groups from Slovakia .

history

The pop group PEHA was discovered by the Slovak scene in April 1997. There were first connections with the record company Škvrna Records . In 1997 a contract was signed with Sony Music Bonton . In the summer of 1999, Diaľkové ovládanie became the most played song in Slovakia for two months on both radio and television. The title To sa Ti len zdá celebrated another success . In September 1999 the first album Niečo sa chystá was finally released.

After PEHA toured in the summer of 2000 , she began to prepare the second album called Krajinou , which was released in the spring of 2001. The first single from it was the song Hlava vinná, telo nevinné . This year Katarína Knechtová received the Aurel 2001 award in the "Best Singer" category.

In 2003 the third album Experiment with the singles Naoko spím , Len tak ísť , Hypnotická and Slnečná balada was released. Then PEHA went on tour with the Czech pop group Chinaski .

The next album Deň medzi nedeľou a pondelkom was released in 2005 and has already been produced with the Universal Music record company . The first single, Za tebou , won the Aurel award in 2005 in four categories: "Best Singer", "Best Song", "Best Album" and "Best Pop Group". The album itself was awarded platinum for sales in Slovakia and gold in the Czech Republic .

In November 2006 PEHA went on a Rubikon tour with the Czech pop group Kryštof . The tour was preceded by the release of a "Best of" album on the former record company Sony BMG . The tour culminated on December 9, 2006 at a concert in Prague's T-Mobile Arena in front of more than 9,000 spectators.

At the end of 2006 the ballad Spomal ' came into the charts as a single from the album Deň medzi nedeľou a pondelkom and was number one in the official Czech hit parade for ten weeks (nine weeks in a row). In early 2007 the album got triple platinum in the Czech Republic for sales of more than 30,000 copies.

Meanwhile, the fourth single from Deň medzi nedeľou a pondelkom is rotating on Czech radio with the name Renesancia .
