Ilia Kandelaki ( Georgian ილია კანდელაკი ; Russian Илья Канделаки ; born December 26, 1981 in Tbilisi , Georgian SSR ) is a Georgian football player on the position of a defender . He is currently playing for İnter Baku in the Premyer Liqası .
Career
Kandelaki started his career at FC Tbilisi. In 2000 he moved to Dinamo Tbilisi , with whom he was two Georgian champions and two Georgian cup winners. In 2005 he moved to Chornomorez Odessa in the Ukraine . After two years in Odessa , he moved to Germany for FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he made 20 appearances in the second German Bundesliga. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he signed a contract with SK Sturm Graz in Austria , where he immediately became a regular. With the end of the Bundesliga season 2009/10 Kandelaki left Graz and moved to Azerbaijan to İnter Baku .
In 2006 he was used in four qualifying matches for the 2008 European Football Championship in the Georgian national team. In total, he ran nine times for Georgia.
