Katharina Heberlein

Katharina Heberlein ( December 20, 1868 in Dresden - after 1902) was a German theater actress .

Life

Heberlein was trained for the stage with chief director Albrecht Marcks . She made her debut on April 18, 1885 as "Jolanthe" in King René's Daughter . This performance earned her a three-year contract on January 1, 1886 at the Dresden Court Theater. At first she was only cast in supporting roles, but she showed her talent and her successes grew.

In Dresden she played "Jessica", "Hanna" ( Deborah ), "Laura" ( Karlsschüler ), "Kreusa" ( Medea ), "Maria" ( hereditary ranger ), "Helene" ( Zriny ), "Cordelia" ( King Lear ) , "Bertha" ( Wilhelm Tell ), "Lyciska" ( The Fencer of Ravenna ), " Jane Eyre " ( orphan from Lowood ), "Maria" ( Clavigo ), "Luise" ( Ranzau ) and "Gertrud" ( Count Waldemar ) . On guest performances with her colleagues "Queen Anna" ( A Glass of Water ) and "Luise" ( Cabal and Love ) along with other roles.

Despite her recognition in Dresden, she was signed to the Hoftheater Hannover on August 15, 1889 . She stayed there until at least 1902.

In Hanover she played among others as "Gretchen", "Klärchen", "Emilia Galotti" and "Thekla".
