Katharina Pistor
Katharina Pistor (born May 23, 1963 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German lawyer .
Life
In 1988 Pistor passed the first state examination in law at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau and in 1992 the second state examination in Hamburg. She teaches as Edwin B. Parker Professor of Comparative Law at Columbia Law School and Director of the Law School's Center for Global Legal Transformation.
Her research and teaching encompasses corporate law, corporate governance, money and finance, property rights as well as comparative law and legal institutions.
