The Kathinka Platzhoff Foundation is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Hanau . The foundation received its legal capacity on December 11, 1981 through the approval of the Darmstadt Regional Council .
Foundation goals
The goals of the foundation are realized in cooperation with the Walloon-Dutch community , an independent Evangelical Reformed church in Hanau. The goal of the non-profit foundation is the high-quality care and support of children, young people and senior citizens. This includes the targeted promotion and education of children and young people on their way to independent, creative and responsible personalities as well as the need-oriented, active support of older people.
Kathinka Platzhoff
Kathinka Platzhoff (1896–1981) was the granddaughter of the Hanau company founder Wilhelm Carl Heraeus . They decreed in his will establishing the Foundation, which was founded 1981st The main goal of the foundation's intended purpose is to convey Christian values in close cooperation with the Walloon-Dutch community.
Foundation activities
In order to achieve the foundation's goals, the foundation operates the following facilities, among others:
- Day care facility for children Educational care and support offers for children from 6 months to 6 years.
- Family center Cross-generational work and family education within the framework of care for children from 6 months to 6 years.
- Family academy Educational institution with offers for children, families, senior citizens and educational professionals.
- Fischerhaus - Senior-friendly residential complex for senior citizens who do not need care or need only little care.
- Outpatient care service Nursing team for home care of the sick and the elderly.
Foundation Board
The Foundation is currently a three-member, volunteer working board and a full-time managing director directed. The board consists of:
