The Catholic Funeral Association , based in Munich, was a mutual insurance association founded in 1871. The club house was located at Prinz-Ludwig-Straße 4 in Munich.

During the National Socialist era , denominational insurance companies were undesirable. Therefore, in 1938 the Catholic Funeral Society had to rename itself to the Munich Funeral Society.
