Katja Walder is the pseudonym of the journalist , author and radio presenter Franziska von Grünigen . Since 2019, she has been writing a weekly commuter column for SBB under the name Katja Walder . From 2008 to 2018 she wrote the commuter column "Abgefahren!" for the Swiss commuter newspaper Blick am Abend .

History of origin

In 2008 Blick am Abend was looking for articles for the “Die Kolumne” column, whereupon von Grünigen submitted an article under the pseudonym Katja Walder . At that time, you could vote via SMS on whether the author was allowed to continue writing. Von Grünigen was elected 19 times and was then given a fixed column at the request of the readers, which was published twice a week for 10 years until December 21, 2018 under the name "Abgefahren!" appeared and Katja Walder gained national fame with more than half a million Blick am Abend readers (as of 2017).

With a fake column in December 2018, Katja Walder started looking for a new job - and soon found what she was looking for: since January 31, 2019, Katja Walder has been writing weekly for SBB News on Thursdays.

According to her own statement , the name Katja Walder came about within 5 seconds of the idea of ​​using a name that was as common as possible.
