Kavarskas
Kavarskas is a town with 666 inhabitants (2011) in the Anykščiai district in Lithuania . It is located on the KK120 trunk road ( Radiškis - Anykščiai - Rokiškis ), 15 kilometers southwest of the town of Anykščiai, on the right bank of the Šventoji . It is the center of the Kavarskas administrative district .
In 2002, the Kavarskas hydropower plant (1.5 MW) was built near the Kavarskas reservoir .
In 1463 the first church was built. Kavarskas was first mentioned in a document in 1538. The place has been a city since 1551.
