The Šventoji (literally translated "the saint") (German: Heiligenaa ) has its source in northeast Lithuania and is the longest river that flows entirely on Lithuanian territory. The initial course of the river is particularly popular for paddling , as there are many possible routes in the adjacent lake district. The Šventoji flows into the Neris near Jonava .
There is Šventoji Ichthyological Reserve .
