Kawanishi J6K

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kawanishi J6K1 Jinpu (thunderstorm) was the project of a land-based interceptor for the Japanese Navy Air Force . In 1942, development work began in accordance with the 17-Shi tender. The Mitsubishi MK 9A was intended as the drive, but its development was discontinued, which is why the J6K1 had to be redesigned to the Homare 42. Despite the calculated good performance, the work was not continued because the Navy favored the N1K2-J.
