Kawasemi ( Jap. カワセミ , dt. " Kingfisher ") in Tobu Dobutsu Kōen ( 東武動物公園 , "Tobu Zoo") of the Tobu Railway in Miyashiro and Shiraoka , Saitama Prefecture is a steel roller coaster type Mega-Lite the manufacturer Intamin . It opened in March 2008 as the first Mega-Lite model roller coaster . Kawasemi is the Japanese name for the kingfisher, which is known for its high speed. The forerunner facility at this location was called the Mount Rocky Coaster .

The 755 m long route reaches a height of 31 m and has a 30 m high first descent of 67.4 °. The trains reach a top speed of 85 km / h.

Trains

Kawasemi owns two trains with four cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The passengers must be at least 1.10 m tall to be allowed to ride.
