Namesake
The mountains are named after the Dutch naval officer Conrad Carel Käyser (1876–1939). In 1910 he took part in a Corantijn expedition led by Johan Eilerts de Haan. In 1935 he was appointed Vice Admiral a. D. charged by the Dutch government to lead a commission to determine the border between Suriname and Brazil . At the same time he was the leader of expeditions that made a total of three river trips to the border area between 1935 and 1938.
