Kazimieras Savinis
Kazimieras Šavinis (born February 16, 1937 in Kaliekiai , Utena Rajon , Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
From 1954 to 1959 he studied at the Kauno politechnikos institutas and became an engineer. From 1975 to 1978 he was an aspirant at the Vilniaus inžinerinis statybos institutas . From 1964 to 1990 he worked at the Motorway Design Institute in Šiauliai . From 1990 to 1991 he was mayor of Šiauliai, from 1992 to 1995 and from 2003 to 2007 deputy mayor. From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas and from 2000 to 2001 Deputy Minister of Transport.
From 2002 he is an honorary citizen of Šiauliai.
