Kazuko Ono

Kazuko Ono ( Japanese 小野 和 子 , Ono Kazuko ; * around 1945 as Kazuko Gotō , Japanese 後 藤 和 子 , Gotō Kazuko ) is a former badminton player from Japan .

Career

Kazuko Ono was one of the strongest badminton players in Japan in the mid-1960s, but she never managed to fight for a national title, with players like Noriko Takagi , Machiko Aizawa , Etsuko Takenaka and Hiroe Amano, some of the world's best players in the world own country as competition.

In the team with these players, Ono was able to show off a lot. The Japanese women's team won the 1966 World Cup for women's teams, the Uber Cup , defeating Indonesia 5-2 in the final. Kazuko Ono contributed a win in doubles with Noriko Takagi .

In the individual disciplines, Ono won bronze with Takagi in women's doubles at the Asian Badminton Games in 1966 .
